Answer
The positions of Chair and Non-Executive Director of the Strategic Investment Board are public appointments regulated by the Commissioner for Public Appointments NI (CPANI). New appointments are made following a publicly advertised open competition in line with the CPANI Code of Practice and are subject to oversight by CPANI. The names of the successful candidates are published.
Officials are currently preparing a recruitment competition for a Chair and Non-Executive Directors, which we expect to launch in the near future.
The Chief Executive of the Strategic Investment Board may be appointed as an Executive Director on an ex officio basis.
