Answer

I welcome the responses received to the public consultation on the draft Active Travel Delivery Plan. A total of 346 responses were received, 294 from individuals and 53 from organisations which included representation from local interest groups.

High level indications demonstrate that the majority of responses received endorsed the plan’s proposals to prioritise connections to local schools, town centres and public transport; and the high level design principles that are people centric, accessible to all, and prioritise safety. The detailed feedback received will be extremely valuable in informing proposals for the final plan.

My officials are carefully reviewing the responses received with a view to presenting a final plan for my approval in the coming months.
